Jammu:Â The Jammu and Kashmir Government has re-designated four IAS officers following their recent promotions to senior administrative grades approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Accordingly, IAS Sanjeev Verma (2001 batch), AGMUT cadre, has been re-designated as Principal Secretary to the Government, Election Department.
His elevation comes after his promotion to a senior administrative grade and reflects the trust placed in his experience in handling key administrative responsibilities.
The list of other appointments includes
IAS Prasanna Ramaswamy G (2010 batch) has been designated as Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Tribal Affairs Department. With this re-designation, he will oversee policies and programs aimed at tribal welfare and development across the Union Territory.
IAS Ram Niwas Sharma has been re-designated as Commissioner Secretary to the Government, School Education Department. In his new role, he will be responsible for policy planning, implementation, and administrative supervision of the school education sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
IAS Avny Lavasa, a 2013-batch officer of the AGMUT cadre, has been re-designated as Secretary to the Government, Transport Department. Following her promotion, she will handle transport administration and policy-related matters.
These re-designations align with the officers’ promotions and aim to strengthen governance in the Union Territory.
