Lucknow: In a key administrative move, the Uttar Pradesh government has issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to two senior IAS officers, IAS Pankaj Kumar (2002 batch, UP cadre) and IAS Aryka Akhouri (2013 batch, UP cadre), clearing the path for their central deputation.
Pankaj Kumar is presently the Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited. He has served as District Magistrate and Collector in several key districts, including Ballia, Muzaffarnagar, Agra, Aligarh, and Sitapur. His earlier roles include Principal Staff Officer to the Chief Secretary, Project Director at the UP AIDS Control Society, Director of Revenue Intelligence in Lucknow, and Director of the State Tourism Department. In 2025, he was elected General Secretary of the UP IAS Association.
Aryka Akhouri is currently serving as Special Secretary in the Medical Health and Family Welfare Department, a role she has held since April 2025. A 2013 batch officer, she began her career as a Joint Magistrate in Varanasi and later served as Chief Development Officer in Meerut.
The central deputation of both officers is seen as recognition of their administrative track records.
