Kolkata: Murshidabad is leading the Bengal districts in terms of Yuva Sathi applications with 1.6 lakh registrations till yesterday.
Kalimpong sits at the bottom of the list with 3700 applications.
The West Bengal government scheme Yuva Sathi was rolled out on Sunday and the first 2 days witnessed 12 lakh applications.
A total of 1604 registration camps are being held in 294 assembly constituencies across the state.
Till 5 pm on Monday, the state received around 12 lakh offline applications for the Yuva Sathi allowance along with 9000 online registrations.
Purulia, Bankura, South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, Hooghly and Purba Medinipur are among the districts that have recorded a high number of registrations for Yuva Sathi.
In Murshidabad, a total of 1,55,380 youths registered at 5 camps in Berhampore, Lalbag, Domkal, Kandi and Jangipur on the first 2 days.
On Day 1, the district received over 77,000 applications.
