Amity University Gurugram is deploying AI-powered technologies to hyper-personalise education, preparing industry-ready graduates and redefining higher education in India.

Amity University Gurugram, is implementing several AI-powered new-age technologies to hyper-personalise education. In an exclusive chat with APAC Media, Prof. P. B. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Haryana, asserts that AI will redefinethe  Indian higher education landscape in the next five years.

How does Amity University ensure that its academic programs equip students with industry-relevant skills in today’s rapidly evolving job market?

Amity University Haryana ensures industry engagements in curriculum design and delivery by shifting from traditional rote learning to a framework centred on competency, creativity, and critical thinking. Central to this approach is the industry-Academia Partnership, where curriculum design is directly informed by market needs.

Students undergo rigorous corporate programs and mandatory professional internships is integrated into the credit system. This ensures that the students gain hands-on experience and become industry-ready professionals when they graduate. Further, integration of research and innovation into the university learning environment makes our students research-driven in their approach and innovative in their outcome.

Aligned with NEP 2020, the university utilises a multidisciplinary “Three-Discipline” model that breaks academic silos, combining technical core competencies with behavioural sciences and foreign languages. Through Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and research-led learning at specialized Centers of Excellence, students participate in high-end projects in frontier areas like Green Energy and AI.

This is further supported by a robust digital academic and administrative ecosystem via Amity’s own platform, Amizone, which ensures transparency and tech proficiency. AUH also provides initiatives like Military Training Camps, student clubs and community engagement to nurture human values and leadership qualities akin to a global workforce.

Industry-Academia Integration: Amity University employs a well-structured Industry-Academia Interface with the Industries and corporates. The Centre of Corporate Resources at AUH strengthen industry-academia integration besides facilitating placement of our students in quality jobs in the corporates and industry.
