New Delhi, May 30 (APAC Media): The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has assigned an additional charge to IAS Debashree Mukherjee.
Mukherjee has been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).Â
A 1991-batch officer of the AGMUT cadre, she currently serves as Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and Chairperson of the NCVET. As per the official order of the DoPT, Mukherjee has been assigned the additional charge in the MoHUA during the leave absence period of IAS Srinivas Kathikala (1989 batch), the current secretary.
Mukherjee formerly served as Secretary in the Department of Water Resources (Ministry of Jal Shakti). Throughout her administrative career, she has served in important roles including Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), CEO of the Delhi Jal Board, and CMD of the Delhi Transport Corporation.
She holds an M.A. in English Literature from JNU and an M.Sc. in Water and Environmental Management from Loughborough University, UK.
