New Delhi, May 21 (APAC Media): Tata Power has expanded its EV charging infrastructure on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway through a partnership with Indian Oil Corporation.Â
On Wednesday, Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Ltd announced the launch of new ultra-fast EV charging stations on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway as part of efforts to improve long-distance electric vehicle travel in the country.
The newly operational charging stations have been set up at the 63rd and 69th milestones on the Haryana section of the expressway. The station at the 63rd milestone is equipped with a 240 kW ultra-fast charger featuring four charging guns, which can charge multiple EVs simultaneously.Â
The second station at the 69th milestone has been installed to support vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, ensuring the access to effective charging on both sides of the route.Â
With this latest expansion, Tata Power’s EZ Charge network now includes more than 2,00,000 home chargers, over 6,700 public and semi-public charging stations, and more than 1,200 charging points for electric buses across over 690 cities and towns in India.Â
The company said the charging infrastructure has been developed to support both personal and commercial electric vehicles and has been installed across highways, residential complexes and commercial locations.Â
Tata Power stated that the collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation reflects its continued focus on accelerating India’s EV ecosystem and promoting cleaner mobility solutions.
The expansion of EV charging infrastructure on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is expected to further support electric vehicle adoption and improve charging convenience for travellers as this is one of India’s key transportation corridors.Â
