New Delhi, July 3 (APAC Media): Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has appointed Prashant Singh as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ONGC Green Limited, its wholly owned subsidiary focused on renewable energy and low-carbon business initiatives.
The move marks a major step in ONGC’s transition toward clean energy and sustainable growth.
With more than three decades of experience in the oil and gas sector, Singh brings deep expertise in operations, governance, and strategic leadership. Before this appointment, Singh served as Head of New Energy (Hydrogen and CCUS) at ONGC. In that role, he helped shape the company’s strategy in green hydrogen, carbon capture, utilization, and storage, and other emerging clean energy technologies. He has also served on the boards of Pawan Hans Limited and Ayana Renewable Power.
In his new role, Singh will lead ONGC Green’s plan to expand its renewable energy portfolio from around 2.5 GW to 10 GW by 2030. He will also play a central role in helping ONGC achieve its Net Zero operational emissions target for Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2038.
The appointment strengthens ONGC Green’s leadership as ONGC accelerates investments in renewable energy and low-carbon businesses.
