New Delhi, 24 August (APAC Media): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of IAS Vikram Dev Dutt (AGMUT cadre, 1993 batch) to hold the additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Dutt, who currently serves as Secretary, Ministry of Coal, will take on the additional responsibility till 29 August, 2026, during the leave period of IAS Neeraj Mittal, the incumbent Petroleum and Natural Gas Secretary.
The order was issued by the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
Dutt’s temporary appointment will ensure continuity in the functioning of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry during the period of the incumbent secretary’s leave.
