Areas like College Chhak, Badambadi, Khannagar, Link Road, Ganesh Ghat, Jobra, Cantonment, and CDA will be covered by this project. Each busstop will be constructed in an area of 50 square metres. The facility will be a stainless steel structure with polycarbonate roof sheet.
“A solar system will be installed on the rooftop for uninterrupted power supply to the display board and LED video wall screen for advertisement and mobile and laptop charging facility for commuters,” added Singh.
“A total of 12 green smart busstops will be built. Tenders have been floated and the work will start from the first week of May. A deadline of July has been fixed to finish the work,” added Singh.
The adjacent outdoor areas will be facilitated with greenery and more than 100 trees will be planted at each bus stop.
