Jaipur: The Rajasthan government, in a recent administrative shuffle, has transferred a total of 40 officers, with 20 officers from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 20 officers from the Indian Police Service (IPS), all within the state.
This reshuffle includes positions that have been altered for five district collectors and six district superintendents of police (SP), as highlighted in the transfer orders issued by the Department of Personnel on Sunday. These changes precede the upcoming Rajasthan state assembly elections scheduled for later this year.
Noteworthy among these changes are the replacements of district collectors in Kekri, Tonk, Chittorgarh, Jhunjhunu, and Khairthal. VM Sharma has been appointed the new collector in Kekri, Gaurav Agrawal in Chittorgarh, Bachnesh Kumar Agrawal in Jhunjhunu, Hanumanmal Dhaka in Khairthal, and Omprakash Bairwa in Tonk.
Furthermore, Arushi Malik has been appointed as the new division commissioner of Jaipur, and Manisha Arora will assume the role of transport commissioner.
Among the law enforcement personnel, 20 IPS officers have been transferred, including SPs from Jhunjhunu, Bhilwara, Kekri, Shahpura, Gangapur City, and Dudu. These changes signify a substantial reconfiguration of key positions within the state’s bureaucracy and law enforcement agencies.
