Srinagar: In an administrative reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir government has transferred and posted 56 officers, among them IAS Athar Aamir Khan has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Kulgam district. He was previously serving as the CEO of Municipal Commissioner Srinagar and Srinagar Smart City Limited for nearly three years.
Expressing gratitude for his tenure in Srinagar, Khan took to his X account and said, “Working in Srinagar for almost 3 years as Commissioner SMC and CEO Srinagar Smart City was an opportunity of a lifetime. I am immensely grateful for this opportunity. As I move on to my next assignment as DC/DM Kulgam, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone in Srinagar for all the support, love, and affection.”
Athar Aamir, born in September 1992 in Anantnag, Kashmir, secured the 2nd All India Rank (AIR) in the UPSC civil services exam in 2015.
