New Delhi: The Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, has introduced ‘Prerana: An Experiential Learning Program.’ The program is designed to provide a unique and inspiring experience to students in classes IX to XII, fostering leadership qualities and aligning with the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Conducted as a week-long residential program, Prerana aims to integrate the core values of the Indian education system and the philosophy of value-based education. It will host a batch of 20 selected students (10 boys and 10 girls) weekly from different parts of the country. The curriculum is prepared by IIT Gandhi Nagar and will take place at a Vernacular School in Vadnagar, Gujarat, established in 1888.
Participants will engage in yoga, mindfulness, and meditation sessions, experiential learning, thematic sessions, and hands-on activities. Evening activities include visits to heritage sites, film screenings, talent shows, and other holistic learning approaches. Students can register through the portal, undergo a selection process, and join the program after being selected.
