New Delhi: Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay to launch an exclusive scholarship program for female students. The program aims to support the academic journey of female students belonging to underserved communities.
The scholarship will provide financial aid of Rs. 2.85 lakh per year to the selected students till the completion of their professional graduation degree. It will also focus on the holistic development of the students through intensive student engagement and finishing school activities. Under the scholarship, selected students will receive mentoring and mental well-being sessions. In addition, KEF will provide subscriptions to Unstop and Marrow to engineering and medical students to support their academic journey.
The foundation has laid down the following eligibility criteria:
Applicants should have scored 75% or more or an equivalent CGPA in class 12 board examinations.
The family income of the applicant should be less than Rs. 5 lakh per annum.
Girls enrolled in the first-year graduation programs in courses like BTech, BS, BDes, and Integrated Masters program are eligible for the scholarship for the academic year 2024-25
Applicants should have obtained a rank within the top 20,000 in JEE- Advanced examination
