Global Learning with Coursera: To provide students with access to world-class education, L J University has partnered with Coursera. This partnership offers our faculty and students free access to a vast library of courses from prestigious universities like Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT, Princeton, and more. Over 35,000 of our faculty and students have earned certificates from these courses, making us a leader in Coursera adoption. This initiative ensures that every student has the opportunity to supplement their classroom learning with specialized courses and industry-relevant skills.
Blockchain for Secure Marksheets: L J University is a pioneer in education technology, being the first (and possibly only) Indian university to integrate blockchain technology into its marksheets. Each exam result is securely recorded on the blockchain, ensuring the authenticity and tamper-proof nature of our mark sheets. Encouraged by the experience, the University now plans to implement it across the schools.
Paperless Examinations with Moodle: Our Moodle-based examination platform facilitates paperless examinations for various programs. This platform streamlines the examination process, reduces administrative overhead, and creates a green environment that supports environmental sustainability, by minimizing paper waste. Students can access and complete their exams from any location with an internet connection, increasing accessibility and convenience.

L J University is a Technology-Driven Campus.
L J University is committed to providing a technology-rich learning environment. All faculty and students have real-time access to computers, with over 5,000 workstations available across the campus. Every student enjoys a 1:1 computer-student ratio, equipped with all necessary software for their coursework. Practical sessions are conducted in these well-equipped computer labs.
Even our School of Commerce boasts a dedicated computer lab with 120 workstations, facilitating the teaching of international accounting tools. This commitment to computer-based learning in commerce is unique among Indian universities.
In addition to our on-campus resources, our engineering faculty has created over 35,000 educational videos on YouTube. These videos are used by students from various universities to supplement their learning.
Our administrative system is fully online, ensuring efficient communication and reducing paperwork. We have significantly automated administrative tasks like admissions, enrollment, and grading, freeing up staff to focus on more strategic initiatives. The use of AI has further streamlined our operations, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
What are the top priorities at LJ University today and how is technology being leveraged to address these priorities?
L J University is focusing on Greening and Skills.
Becoming a paperless organisation and make the University green and an environment-friendly campus are among our top priorities. We fulfill our major electricity requirements in-house, by generating solar power. We have been installing solar trees (solar panels are put in the shape of a tree using trees on the campus, and reducing the requirement of space for panel installation) to supplement our solar grid. By water harvesting, we are trying to conserve water leading to improvement in the water table.
Skilling is next in order of priority for us. We operate several skill development centers in collaboration with industry, bridging the gap between academia and the professional world. Our initiatives not only prepare our students for employment but also upskill the workforce of leading companies. Currently, we are simultaneously training and upskilling the manpower of one of the largest companies at their five locations, remotely, using technology.
How is LJ University inculcating and fostering a sense of entrepreneurship among its students?
L J University is deeply into Nurturing Entrepreneurship.
L J University is committed to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among its students. Our Entrepreneur The Business Incubator, established in 2013, is a dedicated platform for promoting start-ups and innovations. This incubator has supported over 57 start-ups and 300+ student innovation teams, playing a crucial role in building a vibrant innovation ecosystem.
To further nurture entrepreneurial talent, we offer an Integrated MBA in Entrepreneurship and Family Business. This program prepares students for leadership roles in the business world, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed as entrepreneurs and family business successors.
How is LJ University looking at leveraging new-gen technologies like AI, robotics, and AR/VR to enhance operational efficiencies as well as upgrade the academic environment?
L J University is now embracing New-Gen Technologies.
L J University’s foresight in establishing an AR/VR/IoT/Robotics Lab in 2019 has positioned us at the forefront of technological innovation. We are leveraging AI, ML, AR/VR, and XR to enhance both our academic environment and operational efficiencies.
Personalized Learning with AI: We use AI and ML to analyze student profiles and create tailored learning paths, adapting content and pace to individual needs. AI-powered tutorials provide personalized guidance and support, answering questions and offering explanations in real time.
Immersive Learning with AR/VR: AR/VR technology allows us to create realistic simulations for fields like pharmacology, engineering, and architecture. Students can practice skills in a safe and controlled environment. Additionally, XR enables virtual labs, providing access to equipment and experiments that might be limited or expensive in a physical setting.
Operational Efficiency through AI: AI is also used to analyze sensor data and predict equipment failures, allowing for proactive maintenance and reducing downtime. We have successfully optimized energy consumption in our buildings and facilities using AI-powered algorithms, leading to substantial cost reduction and a positive environmental impact. Furthermore, our AI-enabled surveillance systems enhance campus security by detecting anomalies and potential threats.

L J Innovation Village has undergone a Decade of Innovation
L J Innovation Village is a cornerstone initiative of L J University, fostering innovation and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement for both industry and society. This program, launched in 2013, celebrated its 10th edition in 2024 with great success.
While participation from other Indian states was slightly lower this year compared to previous editions, the event still attracted over 250 teams from across the country. The program was endorsed by over 80 industry professionals who evaluated start-ups based on their novelty and commercial viability.
L J Innovation Village provides a platform for innovators and start-ups to showcase their talent. Each season attracts pan-India participation, with student-innovators from approximately 10-12 states taking part. The event features various sessions on start-up finance, ecosystems, mentoring, networking with industry, and more.
