New Delhi: V Satish Kumar, Director (Marketing) at Indian Oil Corporation (IoCL), has been appointed as the company’s new Chairman. His appointment follows the end of the one-year extension granted to S M Vaidya, who served as IoCL Chairman from July 2020 until his retirement in 2023. Kumar will continue in his role as Director (Marketing), which he has held since October 2021, while also assuming the duties of Chairman.
With a career spanning 35 years, Kumar has held significant roles within IoCL, including State Head for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, where he led key initiatives like the Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG (DBTL) and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). He has also served as Non-Executive Chairman of Indian Oil Petronas and Indian Oil Mauritius. Kumar holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Management from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
