New Delhi: The National Science Centre in Delhi opened its first coal gallery, “Black Diamond, Unveiling the Depths.” The gallery was inaugurated by Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey.
This new exhibition highlights the history of coal, its discovery, and the techniques used to mine it. It also covers how other minerals are extracted. The aim is to give visitors a better understanding of coal’s role in energy production and its impact on industries.
Minister Shekhawat noted that the gallery offers a practical way to learn about the coal industry and mining processes. The exhibition is open daily from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and tickets can be purchased at the centre.
The coal gallery is expected to attract students, researchers, and anyone interested in learning more about energy and minerals.
