New Delhi: RITES Ltd. and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) have agreed to jointly explore and undertake metro projects across India and international markets. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two entities will focus on offering consultancy, project management, and design services for urban transit systems.
Both organizations aim to collaborate on metro-related projects, including feasibility studies, detailed design, and general consultancy. This partnership aligns with RITES’ efforts to expand its international reach through its ‘RITES Videsh’ initiative.
DMRC, known for its experience in operating and maintaining metro systems, will contribute its operational expertise, while RITES brings its infrastructure consultancy capabilities. Together, they seek to leverage their combined expertise to secure and deliver metro projects in both domestic and global markets.
The collaboration marks an effort to tap into growing opportunities in urban transit infrastructure, especially as metro projects continue to expand in cities across the world. This move comes at a time when urban mobility solutions are gaining importance due to rapid urbanization and the need for efficient public transport systems.
