Avaada Group, a leader in renewable energy, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing green hydrogen skill development and empowering India’s youth in support of the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM).
The agreement was signed by Avaada Group’s President of Business Development, Prashant Choubey, and Arpit Sharma, CEO of the Skill Council for Green Jobs (Skill India Mission). This partnership underscores Avaada’s commitment to building a sustainable workforce in the green hydrogen sector, a key component of India’s long-term decarbonization and economic growth strategy.
This MoU sets the foundation for a robust ecosystem focused on equipping youth with critical skills in green hydrogen technologies, supporting Avaada’s environmental and social objectives. The initiative will deliver targeted training and reskilling programs that prepare the workforce for careers in green hydrogen, with emphasis on areas such as fuel cells, electrolyzers, and project management. The signing was attended by Avaada’s senior leadership, including Narinder Goyal, President of Green Ammonia, along with representatives from the Skill Council for Green Jobs.
The collaboration aligns with the National Green Hydrogen Mission’s ambitious targets, which project the creation of 600,000 jobs by 2030 and investments exceeding ₹8 lakh crore. Through partnerships with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the National Skill Development Corporation, Avaada’s training programs will incorporate emerging hydrogen technologies and support reskilling individuals transitioning from traditional industries to green hydrogen roles. This initiative aims to strengthen India’s skilled talent pool, vital for developing a green hydrogen value chain and achieving a 50 million metric ton reduction in annual greenhouse gas emissions.
Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, shared his vision for the collaboration: “Our commitment to India’s clean energy future goes far beyond technology; it’s about empowering a generation of skilled professionals who will be the driving force behind our green transformation. This MoU aligns perfectly with Avaada’s mission to champion the National Green Hydrogen Mission, equipping young talent with the skills they need to be part of this groundbreaking journey.”
Arpit Sharma, CEO of the Skill Council for Green Jobs, also emphasized the partnership’s impact: “The Skill Council for Green Jobs is delighted to join forces with Avaada Group to propel workforce development in the green hydrogen sector. This collaboration, under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0 and the Skilling, Reskilling, and Upskilling Scheme under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, is committed to providing specialized training that will equip individuals to support India’s transition to green energy. Together, SCGJ and Avaada aim to cultivate a talent pool that will advance India’s vision of a skilled workforce in the Green Hydrogen Domain.”
