Gurgaon: Schneider Electric has named Olivier Blum as its new CEO. With 30 years at the company, Blum has held key roles, most recently leading the Energy Management division, where he pushed initiatives in data centers and smart buildings. His experience in markets like India and China has made him a strong candidate for this top role.
The company’s board chose Blum after a thorough selection process, considering both internal and external candidates. Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Schneider’s Chairman, mentioned that Blum’s deep understanding of the company and his vision for the future will help guide Schneider through its next phase of growth.
Blum takes over from Peter Herweck, who was CEO for the past 18 months. The leadership change comes as Schneider aims to strengthen its focus on energy management and sustainability to meet rising global demand. The company will release more details on the transition soon.
