UP Govt. transfers 10 IAS Officers; IAS Dr Raj Shekhar made MD, Jal Nigam

Lucknow: Ahead of the by-elections in the state, the Uttar Pradesh Government has mandated the transfers of 10 Indian Administrative Service Officers. 

As per the official notification, IAS Dr. Raj Shekhar (2004 batch) has been appointed as the new Managing Director (MD) of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam. 

The list of other transfers includes:

• IAS Anil Garg (1996 batch) has been given additional charges as State Nodal Officer for the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana and MD of the Uttar Pradesh Land Reforms Corporation.
• IAS Anil Kumar (1989 batch) has been given the additional charge as Principal Secretary of the Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Department.
• IAS Uday Bhanu Tripathi (2011 batch SCS), a promotee previously serving in the Housing and Urban Planning Department, has now been transferred to the Urban Development Department. 
• IAS Dr. Kanchan Saran (2013 batch SCS), also a promotee IAS officer and the Additional Commissioner, has been made the Secretary of the State Women’s Commission.
• IAS Ravi Ranjan (2014 batch) will continue as the MD of UP Electronics Corporation Limited. 
• IAS Prabhash Kumar (2017 batch) has been given the charge as the Director of Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department and Joint MD of Jal Nigam (Rural). 
• IAS Sanya Chhabra (2019 batch) has been entrusted with the role of MD of the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation. 
• IAS Prranata Aishwarya (2019 batch) will be the MD of UP Agro.
