New Delhi: BSNL has chosen the State Bank of India (SBI) as its new payment gateway partner. This means that all the transactions made on the official platform of BSNL will be routed through the payment gateway of SBI. The telecom company has assured that these transactions will be safe and go through a portal that is expected to process almost all of them with a very low fail rate.
This partnership allows customers to make seamless payments for their landline and mobile bills using various modes, including UPI, net banking, credit/debit cards, and wallets. BSNL emphasized that this move aims to reassure customers about the safety of their transactions and associated data.
BSNL’s official website and Self Care mobile app now offer a wide range of payment options, enabling customers to manage their accounts conveniently. The collaboration with SBI reflects BSNL’s efforts to modernize and secure its operations, aligning with the growing digital payment ecosystem in India.
In addition to this partnership, BSNL is introducing innovative services to enhance customer experiences. These include IFTV (live TV services via fiber), SIM kiosks, and Direct-to-Device (D2D) services. Furthermore, BSNL plans to expand its 4G network coverage to more regions across the country, aiming to strengthen its market position and compete more effectively with private telecom operators.
This strategic collaboration and the launch of new services underscore BSNL’s commitment to adopting advanced technologies and providing a seamless experience for its users.
