New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 3 January will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for a series of transformative projects, to highlight a new era of progress for the national capital.

Housing for Economically Weaker Sections
The Prime Minister will inaugurate 1,675 flats at Swabhiman Apartments in Ashok Vihar, built for Jhuggi Jhopdi residents. These modern flats, equipped with essential amenities, aim to uplift underserved communities, offering them hope and a brighter future.
The project is a significant step towards providing affordable housing for economically weaker sections in Delhi.
Urban Development Projects
PM Modi will also inaugurate two pivotal urban development projects aimed at transforming Delhi’s infrastructure:
World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar: Over 600 ageing government quarters have been replaced with 34 lakh square feet of state-of-the-art commercial towers, creating a world-class business hub.
GPRA Type-II Quarters, Sarojini Nagar: This project features 28 eco-friendly residential towers with over 2,500 modern homes, designed with a focus on sustainability and environmental consciousness.
These projects highlight the government’s commitment to modernizing urban infrastructure and enhancing Delhi’s global standing.
For Delhi’s Education Landscape
In a boost to the education sector, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the CBSE Integrated Office Complex in Dwarka, constructed at a cost of Rs 300 crore. This facility, designed to Platinum Rating standards by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), underscores a commitment to sustainability and excellence.
Additionally, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Veer Savarkar College at Roshanpura and launch three major Delhi University projects worth Rs 600 crore. These initiatives are expected to elevate the capital’s educational landscape, benefiting students and faculty alike.
Through these projects, Prime Minister Modi’s vision for Delhi focuses on fostering inclusivity, modernity, and sustainability. From housing solutions for underserved communities to cutting-edge commercial and educational infrastructure, the initiatives aim to shape Delhi as a model city for the future.
