Noida: GAIL (India) Limited has announced the promotion of Susheel Kumar to the position of Executive Director (BIS). In addition to his new role, Kumar will continue to serve as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), overseeing cybersecurity for GAIL and all its subsidiaries in India and overseas.
With over 35 years of experience at GAIL, Kumar has been a key contributor in software development, SAP implementation, and cybersecurity. Before this promotion, he served as the Chief General Manager (BIS) and CISO. His expertise has played a pivotal role in strengthening GAIL’s information security framework while driving digital transformation across the organization.
Kumar holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from Dayal Singh College, Karnal.
GAIL, a state-owned energy corporation, is a leader in natural gas trade, transmission, and distribution across India. With a presence in 67 geographical areas, it operates eight joint ventures and three subsidiaries domestically, while also maintaining an international footprint in the USA, Singapore, Myanmar, China, and Egypt.
Kumar’s promotion marks a strategic move by GAIL to strengthen its business information systems and cybersecurity, ensuring robust digital infrastructure as the company continues its global expansion.
