Chandigarh: The government of Punjab has issued a transfer notice for two officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS) with immediate effect.
As part of the reshuffle, IPS Arvind Meena (2020 batch) has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP), Headquarters in Ropar, succeeding PPS Rajpal Singh. Meena previously served as the SP, SD, North, and Amritsar.
Another officer, IPS Dayama Harish Kumar Omprakash also from the 2020 batch has been transferred and posted to the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab. He was earlier serving as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Intelligence, Punjab, SAS Nagar.
Apart from the IPS transfers, the Punjab government has also reshuffled several Punjab Police Service (PPS) officers.

Rupinder Singh, currently the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Vigilance Bureau, Ludhiana, has been appointed DCP City, Ludhiana.
Jaskiranjit Singh Teja, currently, DCP rural Ludhiana, has been posted as Commandant, 7th IRB, Kapurthala against vacant post.
Harpreet Singh, currently, AIG, Admin, Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Punjab, has been placed at the disposal of Vigilance Bureau, Punjab.
Gursewak Singh, SSP Vigilance Bureau, Amritsar Range, has been appointed AIG, Counter Intelligence, Ferozepur, replacing Lakhbir Singh.
Lakhbir Singh, currently the AIG Counter Intelligence, Ferozepur, has been placed at the disposal of the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab.
