Mumbai: In a recent administrative move, the government of Maharashtra has appointed two senior IAS officers to key positions at Mantralaya, Mumbai. IAS Vinita Vaid Singhal, a 1996 batch IAS officer, has been named Principal Secretary of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.
Simultaneously, 2003 batch IAS officer Jayshree Bhoj has taken charge as Secretary of the Environment and Climate Change Department.
These appointments reflect the state government’s continued focus on enhancing governance and streamlining departments crucial to public welfare and environmental sustainability. The reshuffle is seen as a strategic move to boost administrative efficiency and support ongoing developmental initiatives across Maharashtra.
