Kolkata: The West Bengal government has transferred three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and one Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer in a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the state. This move includes the names of IAS Rajesh Sinha and IFS Debal Roy.
IAS Rajesh Sinha, 1997 batch, had been entrusted with the additional responsibility of the Disaster Management and Civil Defence Departments. He is already the Principal Secretary of the Housing Department and Youth Services & Sports.
IFS Debal Roy, 1991 batch, had been appointed as Principal Secretary, Forest Department. This will be in addition to his current role as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests. He replaced IAS Manoj Kumar Agarwal, who was recently appointed as Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal.
IAS Anshul Gupta, 2013 Batch, was appointed as CEO of Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA).
IAS Dipika Sanyamath, 2008 batch, has been appointed Secretary of Mass Education Extension & Library Services Department in place of Anshul Gupta. IAS Uma Shankar S, 2011 batch, has been appointed as the Senior Special Secretary of the Agriculture Department.
