Kharagpur: The IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter (CS SBC) at IIT Kharagpur, in partnership with the IEEE Kharagpur Section, has unveiled the Summer Internship Programme 2025.
The programme aims to provide students across India with research and industry exposure in high-demand tech domains.
The internship, conducted entirely online, will begin in early July and run for two to three months.
Open to students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, including BTech, MTech, BSc, MSc, BCA and MCA, he programme offers an opportunity to work on real-world projects under academic and industry mentors affiliated with IIT Kharagpur and IEEE.
Internship tracks include some of the most dynamic areas in the tech ecosystem:
- AI/ML-Driven Network Management
- Cloud-Edge Computing and Vehicular Networking
- Machine Learning and Deep Learning
- Generative AI and Explainable AI
Applicants are expected to have a basic understanding of programming, operating systems, DBMS, engineering mathematics, computer networks and machine learning with Python. However, advanced expertise is not a prerequisite.
To apply, candidates must fill out a Google Form and upload the following:
- Updated CV (PDF, up to 10 MB)
- Passport-size photograph (PDF/Image, up to 1 MB)
- Scanned signature (PDF/Image, up to 1 MB)
- Valid student ID card (PDF/Image, up to 1 MB)
The application deadline is 21 June. Selected applicants will be informed by the end of June.
While the internship is unpaid, it offers e-certificates, project-based learning, and mentorship from reputed academics and professionals.
Participants will gain hands-on experience, enhance their portfolios with practical projects and build professional networks, making it a valuable opportunity for any student looking to deepen their expertise in emerging technologies.
