Jammu: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir Government announced the transfer and posting of seven Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers belonging to the AGMUT cadre. As per the official notification, IAS Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma (1994 batch) has been appointed as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Tourism Department.
In addition, Verma will also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development, and Monitoring Department until further notice.
The list of other transfers includes
- IAS Anil Kumar Singh (1995 batch)- Posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department. He will retain additional charge of the Mining Department.
- IAS Yasha Mudgal (2007 batch)- Transferred from the Tourism Department and posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Youth Services and Sports Department.
- IAS Sarmad Hafeez (2009 batch)- Shifted from Youth Services and Sports and appointed as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Social Welfare Department.
- IAS Talat Parvez Rohella (2010 batch)- Posted as Chairman, Bureau of Public Enterprises, J&K, after serving as Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department.
- IAS Bhupinder Kumar (2011 batch)- Posted as Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi. He will continue to hold additional charges of Administrative Secretary, Hospitality and Protocol Department, and Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration for the UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
- IAS Ananth Dwivedi (2021 batch)- Assigned additional role of Additional Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, while continuing as CEO, State Health Agency, and Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission.
These appointments are expected to bring renewed focus and direction to several crucial departments in the administration.
