Kerala Govt Undertakes Major IAS Reshuffle IAS Arun J.O. Made COO, Wayanad Township Project

Thiruvananthapuram: In a significant administrative overhaul, the Kerala government has transferred several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across various departments and districts. One of the notable changes includes the appointment of IAS Arun J.O. as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Wayanad Township Project.

The state government has newly created the position of COO to focus on infrastructure development in the ecologically sensitive hill district of Wayanad.

Arun previously served as the Director of the Backward Classes Development Department.

Similarly, IAS Harshil R. Meena, currently the Subcollector of Kozhikode, has been transferred and appointed as Director, Environment and Climate Change, also through the creation of an ex-cadre post.

Departmental and district-level transfers

IAS K. Vasuki, Secretary, Labour and Skills, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, General Education.
IAS Shanavas S., Director of General Education, has now been appointed Special Secretary, Labour and Skills, with the additional charge of Director of Panchayats.
IAS Sheeba George, Additional Secretary in Revenue, has become Additional Secretary, Health and Family Welfare.
IAS Chithra S. has taken charge as Additional Secretary, General Education.
IAS Geetha A. has been posted as Additional Secretary, Revenue, with full additional charges of Commissioner, Housing, Secretary, Kerala State Housing Board, and Director, Nirmithi Kendra.
IAS Geromic George has been posted as Principal Director, Local Self-Governments Department.

New appointments of District Collectors (DC)

IAS Umesh N.S.K., previously DC, Ernakulam, has been appointed Director of General Education, with additional charge of Managing Director, Kerala Financial Corporation.
IAS Priyanka G., DC of Palakkad, has been transferred and posted as District Collector, Ernakulam.
IAS Madhavikutty M.S. has taken charge as District Collector, Palakkad.
IAS Chetan Kumar Meena has become District Collector, Kottayam.
IAS Dinesan Cheruvat has been made District Collector, Idukki.
IAS John V. Samuel has been made Director, State Water Transport Department.
IAS V. Vigneshwari, DC of Idukki, is now Additional Secretary, Agriculture, with key additional responsibilities in the Kerala Climate Resilient Agri-Value Chain Project (KERA) and Centre for Continuing Education.

Changes in key missions and agencies

IAS Nizamudeen A., previously the Mission Director of MGNREGS, has now been appointed Director of the Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA), with the additional charge of MD, Impact Kerala.
IAS Sreedhanya Suresh, IGR, has taken over as Additional Director (General), Tourism, continuing additional charge of Samoohika Sannadha Sena and Kerala Youth Leadership Academy.
IAS Aswathy Srinivas has become Additional Resident Commissioner, Kerala House, and taken charge as Director, Kerala State Insurance Department.
IAS Meera K., Subcollector of Fort Kochi, has been made Director, Survey and Land Records, and will continue as Inspector General, Registration.
IAS Mithun Premraj has assumed charge as Joint Commissioner, Land Revenue, with the additional charge of Secretary, Land Board.
IAS Misal Sagar Bharat has become Deputy Secretary and OSD, SC/ST/Backward Classes, and Director, Backward Classes Development.

IAS Jayakrishnan V.M. has been appointed MD, Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation.
IAS Ranjith D. has been posted as Mission Director, MGNREGS.
IAS Apurva Tripathi has been appointed CEO, Life Mission, with additional charge as Mission Director, AMRUT.
