Chandigarh: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the government of Punjab has transferred eight Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. As part of the reshuffle, IPS Satinder Singh (2010 batch), currently Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Border Range, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Ludhiana Range.
In this role, Singh replaces IPS Jagdale Nilambari Vijay (2008 batch), who has been reappointed as DIG, Counter-Intelligence.
Other transferred officers include
- IPS Nanak Singh (2011 batch), DIG Patiala Range, has now been posted as DIG, Border Range.
- IPS Gurmeet Singh Chauhan (2011 batch), who had been awaiting posting since his promotion, has been appointed DIG, Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF).
- IPS Naveen Saini, also promoted recently, has been posted as DIG, Crime.
- IPS Dhruv Dahiya (2012 batch), who returned from central deputation, has been made Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Counter-Intelligence.
- IPS D. Sudarvizhi (2012 batch), back from his deputation, is now posted as AIG, Internal Security, stationed at SAS Nagar (Mohali).
