Kolkata: The West Bengal government’s flagship Amader Para Amader Samadhan program surpassed 1 crore footfalls yesterday.
This milestone was achieved 26 days after its August 2 launch.Â
The citizen-centric initiative aims to solve localized problems at the booth level itself. A total sum of Rs 10 lakh has been earmarked for each booth. A total of Rs 8000 crore has been earmarked for this project. Common problems raised by citizens till date include the need for improved water supply, roads, and streetlights.
The government plans to hold 31,000 camps in all. With one camp per three booths, they plan to cover 80,000 booths by November 3. Only yesterday, 728 camps were held with 5.6 lakh people attending.
