Jaipur: Infrastructure firm SPML Infra has secured a Rs 1,438 crore order in a joint venture with JWIL Infra, with SPML holding a 51 percent share, from the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Bharatpur, Rajasthan.
The project, awarded under the Jal Jeevan Mission, is aimed at strengthening water supply infrastructure in the region. It includes comprehensive construction works as well as 10 years of operations and maintenance (O&M).
Project Scope
Once completed, the project will provide safe and reliable drinking water to over 1.5 million residents of the Dholpur and Saipau blocks.
The scope of work includes the construction of an intake well; two raw water reservoirs with capacities of 10 and 12 million cubic meters on the Chambal River; the laying of 712 km of pipelines ranging from 100 mm to 2000 mm in diameter; the building of 21 elevated service reservoirs; and the establishment of raw water pumping stations.

SPML Infra’s Managing Director Abhinandan Sethi said the order highlights the government’s confidence in the company’s ability to deliver large-scale water infrastructure projects. He noted that the initiative will not only focus on construction but also ensure reliability, resilience, and improved quality of life for the people of Dholpur through its long-term O&M component.
