Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has ordered the transfer and posting of two senior IAS officers with immediate effect. Accordingly, IAS Jaspreet Singh, a 2014-batch officer who was serving as Special Secretary and Mission Director, Food Processing, has been placed at the disposal of the Department of Industries and Commerce.Â
Singh will now take charge as Managing Director (MD), Punjab INFOTECH, and Additional Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion, replacing Sandeep Hans.
IAS Sandeep Hans, a 2010-batch officer who was holding the position of Managing Director, Punjab INFOTECH, and Additional CEO, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion, has been posted as Special Secretary, Food Processing Department. He will also serve as Mission Director, Food Processing, taking over from Jaspreet Singh.
Hans is known for his contributions in governance and industry promotion, while Singh has played a key role in advancing the state’s food processing initiatives. The move is seen as part of the government’s effort to strengthen administrative efficiency across departments.
