New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has announced the appointment of IPS Shalini (2011 batch) as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The decision was cleared by the competent authority and issued through an official order.
Shalini is currently posted as DIG of the Provincial Armed Constabulary in Moradabad, where she has been serving since March 2025. Her move to the CBI reflects the effort to bring experienced officers into key investigation roles.Â
The government has been pushing central staffing measures that draw talent from state cadres to strengthen national institutions. Shalini’s appointment adds to this push and is expected to support ongoing work in high-level investigations and coordination within the agency.
