Chandigarh: The Punjab government has reshuffled three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, assigning key roles to them. Accordingly, IAS Sonali Giri (2009 batch) has been appointed Additional Administrative Secretary of School Education, and Higher Education and Languages.
Giri currently holds three charges, including Managing Director of PUNSUP, Additional Administrative Secretary-cum-Director, Civil Aviation, and Additional Secretary, Revenue & Rehabilitation. She will continue to serve in these roles along with her new charge.
The other two appointments include
- IAS Annindita Mitra (2007 batch) has been made the Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab and Administrative Secretary of Elections. Before this appointment, she served as the Administrative Secretary, Higher Education & Languages, Additional Administrative Secretary, School Education, and Additional Managing Director of the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB).
- IAS Girish Dayalan (2011 batch) has been appointed as the new Managing Director of PIDB. He will continue to serve in his previous roles as the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Punjab, and Managing Director of Punjab State Cooperative Bank Ltd.
