New Delhi: The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has awarded a Rs. 125 crore contract to CIPL, a technology solutions company in Noida, for a major IT modernisation and digital transformation project across 47 locations nationwide.
The initiative will be implemented over the next three years. The project aims to go beyond routine IT upgrades by introducing advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, predictive maintenance, and intelligent automation. These tools will help ONGC proactively detect technical issues, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen the resilience of its critical systems.
As part of the rollout, more than 450 IT professionals will be deployed across ONGC offices to manage implementation and provide round-the-clock monitoring. The team will ensure the seamless functioning of the IT infrastructure across all locations.
The transformation will also adopt cloud-first strategies and AI governance frameworks to enhance data security and streamline operations. This is expected to significantly improve system reliability and decision-making capabilities within the organisation.
The collaboration brings together ONGC’s legacy in the energy sector with CIPL’s experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects. CIPL has previously handled similar assignments for major organisations, including Indian Oil Corporation and Airports Authority of India.
The project is expected to build a secure, efficient, and future-ready digital ecosystem for ONGC.
