New Delhi, July 9(APAC Media): PhonePe has appointed Srijon Biswas as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), marking a key leadership change as the Walmart-backed fintech company continues to expand its digital financial services business.
Biswas, who has been part of PhonePe’s engineering team for several years, will now lead the company’s engineering organisation. During his tenure, he has worked across multiple engineering teams and contributed to building the technology infrastructure that supports PhonePe’s large user base. He will continue to report to co-founder Rahul Chari.
Alongside Biswas’ elevation, Rahul Chari has been named Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO). In his expanded role, Chari will oversee product and technology while also leading functions including Trust & Safety, Data Sciences & Analytics, Customer Experience and other strategic initiatives across the PhonePe Group.
