New Delhi, August 5(APAC Media): Ericsson has appointed Randeep Raina as the new Head of Customer Unit for Vodafone Idea (Vi) in India.
He will be based in Mumbai and will report to Andres Vicente, CEO of Ericsson’s Market Area Southeast Asia, Oceania and India. He takes over from Krishna Patil, who has moved to the role of Executive Advisor.
He has more than 27 years of experience in the telecom and technology sectors. Before joining Ericsson, he was Head of Telco and Strategic Partnerships at Google India. He has also worked as Chief Technology and Strategy Officer at Nokia Networks India.
In his new role, Raina will lead Ericsson’s work with Vodafone Idea. He will work closely with the telecom company to improve its network and support the rollout of next-generation connectivity services.
Ericsson and Vodafone Idea have been working together for several years. Recently, Vi expanded its partnership with Ericsson by choosing the company’s cloud-native charging solution to upgrade its postpaid services. The two companies are also working on expanding Vi’s 4G and 5G network, increasing network capacity, and using AI to improve network operations.
