Agartala, August 18(APAC Media): Tripura has launched the T-RISE portal to connect local startups with mentors, investors and corporate partners as the state works to expand its startup ecosystem.
The Tripura government launched the Tripura Registry & Integration for Start-up Ecosystem (T-RISE) during a session titled “Building a Unicorn in Tripura” in Agartala on Monday. The initiative was organised in partnership with Hyderabad-based T-Hub.
The portal is positioned as a digital platform for startups seeking access to business networks and funding. It currently connects users with more than 20 mentors, over 10 investors and more than 10 corporate partners, along with technology executives and experts from Tripura’s global community.
Tripura Startup Ecosystem
The launch comes after the state introduced its sector-agnostic Tripura Start-up Policy in January 2025. The policy covers startups across sectors and includes financial support through schemes such as the Tri-Seed Fund, Proof of Concept assistance and operational funding.
According to the state government, the policy has received more than 185 applications so far. Of these, 140 registrations have been approved and 70 startups have been recognised. More than Rs 2.72 crore has been provided in financial assistance.
Tripura has also set up T-NEST at the International Business Centre as an incubation facility offering mentorship, technical support and market connections to entrepreneurs.
Why T-RISE Matters
The new portal gives Tripura a single digital platform to bring startups, investors, mentors and corporate partners into the same ecosystem. The move also fits into the state’s broader efforts to attract private investment and build entrepreneurship opportunities in the Northeast.
The state government has previously outlined plans for startup infrastructure, including incubation facilities and a proposed venture capital fund, as part of its wider startup and investment strategy.
