New Delhi: Mylab Discovery Solutions has introduced two tests for the detection of dengue infections: the Dengue rapid gold Test and the Dengue high accuracy Dry Luminescence Assay Test.

Differentiation of IgG and IgM Antibodies: The tests effectively differentiate between IgM and IgG antibodies, providing valuable insights into the stage and progression of the Dengue infection.
Rapid Point-of-Care testing: Both tests offer rapid point-of-care capabilities, ensuring quick and on-the-spot diagnosis within 15-20 minutes without the need for laboratory setup or complex procedures.
Enhanced sensitivity and specificity: Mylab’s Dengue IgG/IgM Gold Test and Dengue IgG/IgM Dry Luminescence Assay Test are known for their high sensitivity and specificity, ensuring reliable and accurate results.
Timely detection of infections: Positive IgM and IgG test results indicate recent dengue virus infections, allowing for timely intervention and proper patient care.
Easy-to-use: The tests can be used in resource-limited regions with a high prevalence of dengue, to provide timely diagnosis and support dengue screening programs.

Positive IgM and IgG tests for dengue antibodies indicate recent infection with the dengue virus. In the case of primary dengue infection, detectable levels of IgM antibodies emerge as early as the 3rd day after infection and generally persist for 2-6 months. Following IgM, Dengue IgG antibodies appear around day 7 of the fever during the primary infection and remain present for an extended period, potentially lasting for years.
