New Delhi: Gaurav Singh IPS officer 2012-batch of the Maharashtra cadre, has been appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He has been inducted into the federal agency for a five-year tenure, as per an order from the Ministry of Personnel.
Manoj Verma, the second-in-command in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), has been granted an extension in his deputation tenure by one year in the CBI. He is currently working as the SP in the CBI, and according to the order, Verma will continue serving from August 28 to August 27, 2023.
Additionally, the Centre also approved the “extension/regularisation” of the deputation of Keshav Ram Chaurasia and Prem Kumar Gautam, two Deputy Inspectors Generals (DIGs) who were a part of the investigation and inquiry of the coal blocks allocation cases.
