Lucknow: IAS Navneet Singh Chahal was appointed the District Magistrate (DM) of Prayagraj on Saturday, September 2. Chahal, an IAS officer of the 2011 batch, was serving as the DM of Agra before being posted in Prayagraj. A resident of Panipat, his fervour as the DM of Agra facilitated this shift to a major district.
Chahal will be taking over from outgoing IAS officer Sanjay Kumar Khatri, who completed his tenure of two years and three months as the DM of Prayagraj. Khatri was posted on June 5, 2021. He is now the Additional Chief Executive Officer (ACEO) of Noida.
IAS officer Manvendra Singh of the 2010-batch, who was the ACEO of Noida, has been transferred to Moradabad as its DM. He succeeds IAS officer Shailendra Kumar Singh of the 2015-batch, who is now the DM Mathura.
2014 batch IAS officer Rahul Pandey has been appointed as DM in Hamirpur. He was previously posted as Additional Commissioner Sugarcane.
IAS officer Mridul Chowdhary, who was the project administrator of Greater Sharda Assistant Command Area Development Authority, has been appointed DM of Mahoba.
Bhanu Chandra Goswami, previously the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Uttar Pradesh Rural Road Development Authority, has been appointed District Magistrate of Agra.
This decision comes just a day after the transfer of 12 IAS officers in the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government. The reshuffle came late at night on Saturday.
