Tamil Nadu govt elevates 5 IAS officers to Chief Secretary rank

Chennai: In a recent development, the Tamil Nadu government has announced the promotion of five senior IAS officers to the Chief Secretary rank. The officers, all from the 1993 batch of the Tamil Nadu cadre, were previously serving in the Additional Chief Secretary capacity. The notable promotions are as follows:

• IAS officer Gagandeep Singh Bedi previously posted as the Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Chennai.
• IAS officer Sunil Paliwal has been serving as the Chairman of Chennai Port Authority, Chennai.
• IAS officer Dheeraj Kumar was posted as the Additional Chief Secretary of Information Technology and Digital Services Department, Chennai.
• IAS officer S Vijaykumar was serving as the Additional Chief Secretary/Chairman and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Financial Services Limited (TNUIFSL), Chennai.
• IAS officer Dr K Manivasan who was previous positioned as the Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Culture, and Religious Endowments Department, Chennai.
