New Delhi: IIT Delhi has signed an MoU with Kaspersky to support cybersecurity-related research and educational initiatives at the Institute. The MoU includes exchanging knowledge and expertise, developing educational materials, as well as organising and promoting events to raise cybersecurity awareness. It also includes sponsoring merit (academic) awards to encourage IIT Delhi students to pursue careers in ICT and Cybersecurity
“As cyber threats continue to become more complex with technology advancements and automation, we have to equip our youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to defend against these challenges,” stated Professor Preeti Ranjan Panda, Dean Corporate Relations of IIT Delhi .
“This collaboration aims to empower both students and researchers with insights and practical skills required in cybersecurity with the help of Kaspersky,” added Professor Naresh Bhatnagar, Dean of Research & Development of IIT Delhi.
In September Kaspersky launched the educational partnership program for universities called Academy Alliance. Through this MoU, IIT Delhi becomes the first to participate in this program in the region.
