Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Minister for Information Technology D. Sridhar Babu are set to engage with over 70 industry leaders at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. The minister, part of the Telangana delegation led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, revealed plans to secure important investment deals across various sectors during the event.
During his first visit to Davos, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will address the WEF Congress Centre, a distinguished opportunity. He will participate in a panel discussion on digitally transforming healthcare, emphasising the government’s commitment to this pivotal area.
Additionally, a key event on “Food Systems and Local Action” will see the Chief Minister discussing the impact of climate change on the agri-economy and advocating for measures to foster climate-resilient agriculture, safeguarding farmers’ livelihoods.
Minister Sridhar Babu will contribute to a panel discussion on “Developing Skills for AI,” hosted by the AI industry. He will engage with tech companies, trade organisations, and NRI entrepreneurs during his participation.
The Telangana delegation is scheduled to hold discussions with CEOs and CXOs of major global companies, including Novartis, Medtronic, AstraZeneca, Google, Uber, Mastercard, Bayer, LDC, and UPL.
Meetings with Indian industry leaders, such as Tata, Wipro, HCL Tech, JSW, Godrej, Airtel, and Bajaj, are also on the agenda. Minister Sridhar Babu emphasised the commitment to signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and finalising investment deals in sectors like pharma, electronics, data centres, defence, aerospace, food processing, and renewable energy.
The duo plans to meet with WEF’s top management, including its president Brende Borge. Hyderabad is the only city in India to host WEF’s Centre for the 4th Industrial Revolution exclusively in the healthcare and life sciences sector.
