Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government recently unveiled the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan, an initiative aimed at empowering educated and skilled individuals by providing financial support for the establishment of micro-industries and self-employment ventures.
Announced during the budget presentation for the fiscal year 2024-2025 by Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, the scheme allocates a substantial Rs 1,000 crore for its implementation.
Under this scheme, interest-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh will be extended to projects in both the industry and services sectors. Additionally, the government plans to establish ten pledge parks across the state to incentivise private-sector industrial investments.
The initiative aims to directly benefit 10 lakh units over the next decade, with funding allocated to 1 lakh units annually.
