New Delhi: IAS officer Lalithambigai K has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism. Her new posting, under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS), was recently mandated by the Union Government through a circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
The 2015 batch officer from the Manipur cadre will serve in this position for four years, or until further notice. The order by DoPT read, “Given the declaration of election to the Lok Sabha, in case of the officer being on election-related duty she (IAS Lalithambigai K) may kindly be relieved after due clearance from the Election Commission of India to take up her new assignment in the Ministry of Tourism.”
IAS Lalithambigai K was previously posted as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Textile Commerce & Industries under the government of Manipur.
