New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs announced the transfer of 33 IAS and 45 IPS Officers of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre in a major bureaucratic reshuffle. Senior IPS Meenu Chaudhary (2000 batch), previously Joint Commissioner in the Delhi Police, was transferred to Mizoram. She has been replaced by IPS Officer Veenu Bansal who has been brought back to Delhi from Mizoram.
The list of other prominent IPS transfers includes:
- IPS Tusar Taba (2002 batch) has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh. He is currently posted as the Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police.
- IPS Hibu Tamang and IPS PN Khrimey, both belonging to the 2004 batch, have also been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh.
- IPS Mahendra Nath Tiwari (2004 batch), currently serving as Inspector General of Police, Armed, Jammu, has been transferred to Delhi.
- Five district heads have also been transferred including DCP (Southwest) Rohit Meena, who has been transferred to Mizoram; DCP (North) Manoj Kumar Meena, DCP (North West) Jitendra Kumar Meena, and DCP (South East) Rajesh Deo have been shifted to Andaman and Nicobar Islands; DCP (North East), Dr Joy Tirkey has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh.
Among the major IAS Officer transfers, IAS Prerna Puri, currently holding the post of Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, IT department in Jammu and Kashmir, has been moved to Chandigarh. Other IAS Officers have been transferred to different states including Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, Ladakh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Chandigarh etc.
Some of the transferred IAS Officers who have been brought to the national capital are:
- IAS Swetika Sachan (2014 batch) has been shifted to Delhi from Goa.
- IAS Bhanu Prabha (2015 batch) has been transferred to Delhi from Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
- IAS Nazuk Kumar (2016 batch) has been shifted to Delhi from Mizoram.
- IAS Sunny Kumar Singh (2018 batch) has been moved to Delhi from Arunachal Pradesh.
- IAS Dilkhush Meena (2019 batch) has been moved to Delhi from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
