New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) took first place in the Best Exhibitor category at this year’s Urban Mobility India Expo in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), the event gathers metro systems and urban transit experts from around India and abroad.
DMRC’s exhibit attracted attention with its driving simulator, which let visitors experience operating a metro train virtually. The stall also featured a 3D model of DMRC’s driverless technology, offering a look into the future of metro transit.
Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal toured the DMRC exhibit on Sunday, where he tried out the simulator and got an update from DMRC MD Vikas Kumar on the latest tech and operations in Delhi’s metro network. The event wrapped up with DMRC being awarded for its engaging and innovative exhibit.
The Urban Mobility India Expo serves as an annual platform for metro networks to showcase their projects and discuss the future of urban transit solutions.
