Pune: Persistent Systems is set to acquire Arrka, a Pune-based company known for its data privacy management platform and expertise in AI governance. This move will boost Persistent services in digital governance, especially in areas like data privacy, responsible AI, and compliance.
Arrka’s tools help businesses manage data privacy risks and follow legal rules across different regions. By adding Arrka’s capabilities, Persistent aims to improve its platform-driven solutions, building on its previous investments in AI and tech, including its SASVA platform and past acquisition of Starfish Associates.
Sandeep Kalra, Persistent CEO, said the acquisition will help the company offer stronger AI governance and privacy solutions. Arrka’s co-founder, Shivangi Nadkarni, noted that this deal will allow them to reach new global markets as businesses everywhere focus more on ethical AI and privacy management.
The acquisition comes as more companies are prioritizing digital governance with the rise of AI technologies.
